First Cast Cabin

“My wife and I had a FANTASTIC time at First Cast Cabin! I really can't overstate just how nice it was to stay here for a few days. The house had everything we needed and it looked so good! Everything was very clean and there were extra cleaning wipes and hand sanitizer available. The lake and trees were beautiful and every sunset looked amazing through the big back windows. The nights were perfectly quiet with tons and tons of stars. We really enjoyed the fire pit. Be sure to make good friends with Boo (the cat) when you go!”

“This property is beautiful and so relaxing. The sun rise and the sunset is breathtaking from the fire pit or the dock. When it's time to get back my day to day I am already planning my next trip. They have three beautiful cabins, each one very unique and beautiful. It is hard to decide which property to pick. Luke and Susan are the best host and have thought of everything. Can't wait to plan my next girls trip. ”

“Luke was absolutely Amazing! First Cast Cabin was beautiful and right on the water! We caught some fish and enjoyed a quick trip to see the fall colors! Everything was pristine and absolutely gorgeous! We loved the historical home with the old floors, walls, etc! This place was stunning! Also loved the cute little souvenir set up inside! Made it super easy! Now let's get to the BEST part of the trip... Captain Danny Sullivan with Mudport Tours! OMG! He was Absolutely Amazing! He met with us the evening before to talk about what kind of tour we wanted and at what time. He took all three of us on a 90 minute tour and it felt like 30 minutes. We all wanted more! I know that my sister in law and her husband who were on this trip will definitely be back! This place is perfect to go and let the men and women, if you choose, fish off the dock and let the women relax in the screened in porch with a glass of wine! This and all of Luke’s cabin’s are a MUST STAY! Another Must, YOU HAVE TO TOUR WITH CAPTAIN DANNY AT MUDPORT! You will not regret it! Oh we'll be back AGAIN! Thank you Luke!”

“Impossible to describe how absolutely amazing this cabin actually is! It’s something that a person needs to experience for themselves. The pictures and videos that we saw when we booked, and throughout the year following them on Instagram are beautiful, but in person is something else. They spared nothing in making sure their guests are comfortable and feel as welcome as possible. The setting on the lake with the screened in porch over the water was a definite highlight for us. We sat in awe watching sunset from the best seats on the lake. Everything was spotless, and the convenient little things you may have forgotten were there waiting. I can’t imagine anybody staying here and not giving them five stars across-the-board.. as it far exceeds anything we expected! Five stars just isn’t enough. We will be back!”

From the moment you walk in to the place you are drawn to the outside deck and view. There was nothing we could want during our visit. Luke and Susan, seriously have thought of everything. From firewood & snacks to a generous welcome gift, we felt like we were at home from the moment we arrived. Their communication was excellent and helped provide us with the best experience possible from food recommendations to the best places to kayak. We took a boat tour with Michael Landrum, at their suggestion, and highly recommend it for when you visit. My husband and I have traveled all over the world using Airbnb and First Cast Cabin is by far the very best. Don't hesitate at all to book...we will be back!”
